Opera Energy’s ₹5,000 Crore Investment in RE Projects and Manufacturing Facilities at Vibrant Gujarat Summit
Opera Energy has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Gujarat on 11th January 2024 for making substantial investments of ₹5,000 Crore (approximately 600 million USD) for the development of renewable energy projects in Gujarat State during the recently held Vibrant Gujarat Summit. The investment of ₹5,000 Crore will be spread over a five-year period, commencing from the financial year 2024-25.
The investments contemplated in the MoU with Gujarat Government will be invested for the upcoming 300 MW Round the Clock (RTC) hybrid project, a 200 MW solar project in Dwarka and Aravalli. Opera Energy will be setting up state of art manufacturing facilities in Kachchh for Wind Turbine Tower and Blade which will generate employment of 800 plus direct jobs and an additional 2500 indirect jobs for the local talent, thereby contributing to the socio-economic development of the state.
